If approved, this is a very important goal of Resolution 54-NQ/TW of the Politburo on the construction and development of Thua Thien - Hue province until 2030, with a vision to 2045, set out by the locality.

Resolution 54-NQ/TW also sets the goal that by 2030, Thua Thien - Hue will be one of the major, unique centers of Southeast Asia in terms of culture, tourism and specialized healthcare... The vision for 2045 is to be a Festival city, a unique center of culture, education, tourism and specialized healthcare in Asia.

Associate Professor, Dr. Do Bang, Vice President of the Vietnam Historical Science Association, once affirmed that Thua Thien - Hue has a long history of national urbanization, spanning nearly four centuries since Lord Nguyen Phuc Nguyen built the capital Phuoc Yen (1626) and the port city Thanh Ha (1636). "With the characteristic of being the city with the most world heritages in the country and the region, Thua Thien - Hue has the strength of heritage tourism. In addition, Hue also has many strengths in landscape tourism with many famous landscapes such as lagoon systems, rivers, resort tourism and medical treatment" - Associate Professor, Dr. Do Bang acknowledged.

Talking about the advantages of tourism development, everyone certainly affirms that the strength of Hue is that it was once the ancient capital of Vietnam; a land with rich historical and cultural values ​​and still preserves unique, valuable and characteristic traditional artistic values. This place has abundant tourism resources with many cultural and historical relics, including 8 tangible, intangible and documentary heritages recognized by UNESCO.

Thua Thien - Hue is also a place where rich and diverse intangible cultural values ​​are concentrated; it is a land where many religious and belief establishments, pagodas, etc. have unique architectural values, in harmony with the natural landscape. This is also a place that preserves culinary art values ​​with nearly 1,700 unique and attractive royal and folk dishes. Hue also has many traditional craft villages and preserves many garden houses and ancient streets with the characteristics of the ancient capital. In addition, Hue is honored as the city of festivals, the Festival city of Vietnam with over 500 festivals, including royal, folk, traditional, religious festivals and many other festivals...

In addition to the above advantages, according to Mr. Nguyen Van Phuc, Director of the Department of Tourism of Thua Thien - Hue province, this locality is also a place where potential strengths of the sea converge when possessing a coastline of 127 km and the Tam Giang - Cau Hai lagoon system. In particular, Lang Co Bay is a member of the World's Most Beautiful Bays Club since 2009. This place seems to be a place where all the most perfect things converge, from majestic mountains, long stretches of fine sand, to immense blue sea and warm golden sunshine...

To truly achieve the goals of Resolution 54-NQ/TW, Mr. Phuc said that in recent times, the tourism industry has taken many actions such as advising the Provincial People's Committee and related sectors to focus on promoting potentials, advantages and having the most favorable policies to attract large enterprises, corporations, and leading tourism brands to Hue to explore investment.

Special attention is paid to promoting the advantages, encouraging and facilitating businesses to research and invest in tourism projects. In particular, developing health care tourism products according to truly classy models to create a distinct brand for this form of tourism.

Along with that is creating all open and favorable conditions for investment in tourism development; supporting businesses to make efforts to bring tourists to the locality, aiming for mutual development and prosperity, so that Thua Thien - Hue is not only a place worth living but also a place worth visiting for investors; a famous landscape and unique cuisine of Vietnam and the region that tourists should come to explore and experience.

"To enhance tourism competitiveness, we continue to focus on and develop the quality of tourism products and services with unique and classy characteristics. In particular, we focus on building a set of products with the brands "Hue - Festival Capital", "Hue - Ao Dai Capital", "Hue - Culinary Capital" of Vietnam.
