Recently, a delegation of the Electric Power University (EPU) led by Associate Professor, Dr. Vu Dinh Ngo - Party Committee Secretary, Chairman of the University Council, visited and worked with China Huadian Science and Technology Group Co., Ltd. (abbreviated as China Huadian Science and Technology Group).
Welcoming the delegation of the School were Mr. Peng Gangping - Party Secretary, Chairman of the Board of Members of CHEC, Mr. Li Jianbiao - Deputy General Director and leaders of the Group's Departments and Research Institutes.
China Huadian Science and Technology Group Co., Ltd. is a wholly owned subsidiary of Huadian Group - a large state-owned enterprise in China, operating mainly in the field of science and technology development, including: electricity, chemicals, ports, mining, metallurgy, urban services, new energy, hydrogen energy, biomass energy, environmental treatment, energy storage and integrated energy services. CHEC is also present in many international regions such as Southeast Asia, Europe, America... In Vietnam, CHEC has implemented large projects such as Duyen Hai 2 thermal power plant, 04 wind power projects in Dak Lak.
During the visit and working session at the Group, the delegation visited the traditional room, the new business development area, the biomass material laboratory, the robotics laboratory, BESS, AI and the distributed energy plant...

At the meeting, the two sides discussed and agreed on many important contents to promote comprehensive cooperation between the two units in the coming time. Specifically, a joint working group will be established to develop a plan to implement cooperation activities in the fields such as training high-quality human resources to serve CHEC projects, cooperating to build a laboratory located at the University of Electricity with all equipment sponsored by CHEC, coordinating the implementation of government- level cooperation projects, cooperating to develop technical standards in the energy sector, organizing internship programs for EPU students at units under CHEC, etc.
The working session was a great success, with both sides expressing their hope to continue expanding and developing the strategic partnership, towards long-term cooperation in many potential areas such as research, training and technology transfer, especially in the fields of renewable energy and smart technology.

Previously, in 2024, the two units signed a strategic cooperation memorandum in the fields of: thermal power efficiency, green hydrogen and multidimensional energy conversion, renewable energy, water treatment technology, training and sharing.
