Ms. Le Thi Thuy Duong, Director of SEAMEO Regional Training Center in Vietnam, said that the theme of this year’s conference is both topical and practical, reflecting the global trend of teaching in English, while acknowledging that each local context has its own opportunities and challenges. This is also in line with Vietnam’s orientation in promoting English as a second language in schools.
The reports focus on the implementation of English-Medium Education (EME), and examine the impact of global educational trends on teaching practices in Vietnam and the Southeast Asian region, including: Innovative approaches to teaching and learning; curriculum integration and interdisciplinary learning; application of artificial intelligence technology in EME; assessment and quality assurance in EME; challenges in policy implementation; teacher training and professional development.
"Through the workshop, we hope to find effective practices, creative approaches and research-based solutions that can be flexibly applied to local realities to bring practical benefits to learners," Ms. Duong hopes.
