The 1st Conference of Advanced Models of Khong Lao Commune, period 2020-2025

Attending the conference were comrade Mai Thi Hong Sim - Secretary of the Commune Party Committee; representatives of the leaders of the People's Council, People's Committee, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the commune; representatives of departments, offices, mass organizations; Party cell secretary, village chief, collectives, individuals, and exemplary households that were commended.

The report at the conference stated that in the period of 2020-2025, the patriotic emulation movement in Khong Lao commune was widely deployed, closely following reality, associated with the implementation of economic , cultural, social, national defense and security development goals. Major movements such as: "All people unite to build new rural areas, civilized urban areas", "Good workers, creative workers", "Developing production, sustainable poverty reduction", "Cadres and civil servants compete to implement office culture" ... have attracted strong response from all cadres and people.

Thanks to that, the socio-economic situation of Khong Lao commune has achieved many positive results: Economic growth rate remains stable; economic structure shifts in the right direction; average income reaches over 40 million VND/person/year. Agricultural production is expanded towards commodities; health insurance coverage rate reaches 89%; the whole commune has 86.4% of families and 100% of villages achieving cultural village status.

The work of building the Party and the political system has been focused on; the effectiveness and efficiency of State management have been improved. Many collectives and individuals have promoted a sense of responsibility and creativity in their work, devoted themselves to the people, actively participated in movements, and contributed to building the homeland of Khong Lao increasingly prosperous and beautiful.

In the period of 2025-2030, the commune will continue to promote the strength of the entire political system to promote the exploitation of potentials and advantages, prioritize the development of agriculture, tourism and trade; improve the material and spiritual life of the people; effectively implement sustainable poverty reduction programs and build new rural areas.

At the conference, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Khong Lao commune awarded Certificates of Merit to 12 collectives, 22 individuals, and 26 typical advanced households in the patriotic emulation movement for the period 2020-2025. These are typical examples with outstanding achievements, spreading the spirit of emulation, creating positive effects in the community.
