On May 4, the Thanh Hoa Association in Ho Chi Minh City held a meeting to celebrate the 35th anniversary of its founding (May 19, 1989 - May 19, 2024); the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory.

Representatives of Thanh Hoa province's leaders presented flowers from the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Fatherland Front Committee to the Thanh Hoa Association in Ho Chi Minh City.

With the desire to rise up, many Thanh Hoa natives have chosen new lands to settle down and make a living. Many generations of Thanh Hoa people have come to the Southern land to live and build a Thanh Hoa community here. And according to the expectations of those who are far from home, the Thanh Hoa Fellow Countrymen Association in Ho Chi Minh City was established in 1989. This is a very special mark, demonstrating the character, qualities of harmony, community cohesion, and affection of Thanh Hoa people. And since that time, the Thanh Hoa Fellow Countrymen Association in Ho Chi Minh City has always been a common home for those who are far from home; a place to gather and unite Thanh Hoa natives far from home, a solid bridge between Thanh Hoa fellow countrymen and their homeland; a place where the whole heart is turned towards Thanh Hoa with practical and affectionate deeds, contributing to building the homeland to be more and more civilized and beautiful.

In addition to activities of exchanging experiences, visiting, encouraging, and sharing promptly with members' families in difficult circumstances, the Association has organized many diverse, practical, meaningful activities that have spread, creating solidarity, unity, and affection in the community. Many members are successful businessmen and large business owners who have invested in production and business in their hometowns; supported localities in building and completing medical infrastructure, schools, cultural houses, public roads, and houses of gratitude, etc., contributing to the overall development of the province.

The Association always attaches importance to and regularly carries out humanitarian, charitable and social security activities, thereby supporting and helping many poor households, policy families and disadvantaged people overcome difficulties and improve their lives; supporting compatriots to overcome difficulties, overcome natural disasters and epidemics.

Activities to build a fund to encourage learning and talent, and care for the province's "human development" career have been focused on. The Association has mobilized and attracted many social resources, awarded thousands of scholarships to help poor and disadvantaged students continue to go to school, helping the tradition of studiousness of the homeland continue to develop.

In particular, the Association has actively responded to and supported the campaign to support the construction of houses for poor households and policy households with housing difficulties in the province in the two years of 2024 - 2025 according to Directive No. 22 dated March 30, 2024 of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, contributing significantly to the effort to have 5,000 poor households, policy households, and households with housing difficulties supported to build and repair houses by September 30, 2025, making a practical contribution to welcoming the 20th Provincial Party Congress, term 2025 - 2030.

These are noble gestures and sentiments, demonstrating the love for the homeland and the constant turning towards the homeland of those who are far from home, contributing together with the Party Committee, government and people of all ethnic groups in the province to successfully implement the set goals and tasks and further enhance the fine traditions of the heroic homeland of Thanh Hoa.

The Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee happily informed the general information about the outstanding results achieved by the Party Committee, the government and the people of all ethnic groups in the province in 2023 and the first 4 months of 2024, along with the major orientations of the province in the coming time, and affirmed: In the achievements, along with the attention of the Central Government, there are great contributions from Thanh Hoa people who are working, studying and living all over the country in general and in Ho Chi Minh City in particular, joining hands and contributing to the development of Thanh Hoa province to become more and more civilized and prosperous.

On behalf of the provincial leaders, the Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee respectfully thanked the good feelings that the uncles, brothers and sisters of Thanh Hoa in Ho Chi Minh City, as well as the children of Thanh Hoa across the country have given to their beloved homeland over the past years.

The Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee highly appreciated the efforts of the Liaison Committee of Thanh Hoa Fellow Countrymen in Ho Chi Minh City in overcoming difficulties, bringing enthusiasm, prestige, intelligence and enthusiasm to connect Thanh Hoa children in Ho Chi Minh City with local Party committees and authorities and receiving good reviews.

In the coming time, on behalf of the provincial leaders, the Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee hopes that each child of Thanh Hoa will always promote the patriotic and revolutionary traditions, the glorious traditions of the homeland, fully and correctly perceive the development and strong transformation of the country in general and Ho Chi Minh City, Thanh Hoa province in particular, continue to contribute efforts and intelligence, accompany the Party Committee, government and people of all ethnic groups in the province to build a beautiful Thanh Hoa homeland, increasingly develop and soon become a model province as beloved Uncle Ho always wished.

On this occasion, the Provincial People's Committee awarded Certificates of Merit to 17 groups and 19 individuals; the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee awarded Certificates of Merit to 5 groups and 5 individuals of the Thanh Hoa Association in Ho Chi Minh City.

On this occasion, the Ho Dac Di Scholarship Fund donated 1 billion VND to poor and disadvantaged students; the Thanh Hoa Association in Ho Chi Minh City donated 350 million VND to support the construction of houses for poor households in the province.
