While listening to advice, students take notes of necessary information.

Not only listening to advice from experts on stage, after the program, Vo Hoang Linh - a student of class 12A1, Hau Nghia High School - also had the opportunity to chat with his idol, Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Van Thuy, Head of Admissions and Communications Department - Banking University of Ho Chi Minh City.

Linh smiled and said: "I know you through career counseling videos on social networks. I thought the associate professor would be very strict, but you are the complete opposite, you are extremely friendly, funny and close to students. The first time I met you in real life, I was very happy, thanks to that I have more motivation to strive to get into Banking University of Ho Chi Minh City".

Linh said her family is not well-off, so she has to consider choosing a university with quality training and suitable tuition fees. Linh is studying business and international economics . Of these, Banking University of Ho Chi Minh City is her first choice.

"To increase my chances of admission, I registered for the V-SAT exam and was one of the earliest candidates to register for the exam at the school," Linh revealed.

Students meet with experts for private consultation

Present at the consulting booth of Saigon Polytechnic College, Dao Thi Que Tran, a 12th grade student at Duc Hoa High School, learned about the marketing industry.

Tran expressed: "Although my academic performance in the first semester of grade 12 was excellent, I was still very worried and afraid that it would be difficult to compete for university entrance. That's why I decided to study at a college from the beginning. It saves tuition fees, the training time is short, and I can still transfer to university."

Instead of learning about careers, Dao Thanh Phu, a 12th grader at Duc Hoa High School, sees this as an opportunity to visit and experience the learning culture of each university. Phu said he has participated in programs to experience a day as a student at the following universities: Economics - Finance, Van Lang, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology, etc.

Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Van Thuy assessed that career orientation for 12th grade students is very important. In each locality and region, students will have different questions. Career guidance workers must go to the field to understand the students' thoughts and concerns.

"Instead of searching for information on social networks, through direct consultation programs like this, parents and students will be able to consult more specific and accurate opinions," said Associate Professor Thuy.
