However, there are some majors that have a sharp increase in admission scores from 3 to a maximum of 5 points compared to 2024, such as psychology, law, and economic law.

Compared to the floor scores announced by 12 schools, all majors have benchmark scores that are at least 3 points higher than the floor score. The major with the highest benchmark score is 8 points higher than the floor score.

A representative of the Vietnam Aviation Academy also revealed that this year the expected admission score to the school will increase compared to 2024. In particular, many majors have an increase in admission score from 3 to 4 points, especially the highest increase in admission score to 6 points.

According to Dr. Nguyen Trung Nhan, Head of Training Department of Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry, after the virtual filtering of the Southern group and the nationwide virtual filtering by the Ministry, the school's 2025 benchmark score has many unexpected fluctuations with about 50% of majors having benchmark scores higher than in 2024.

Some industries recorded significant increases such as marketing, expected to increase by 1.5 points; industries in the technology - engineering group such as mechatronics, electricity - electronics, automation are expected to increase by 2 points; pharmacy increased slightly by 0.5 points...

With the method of considering high school graduation exam scores, the standard scores for the school's general programs this year range from 24 to 25 points, with some programs reaching up to 26 points.

Mr. Pham Thai Son, Director of Admissions at Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Trade, informed that this morning, through the 9th virtual filtering round of the Southern group, the school has determined the expected benchmark scores for specific majors. In general, this year's scores at the school are equal to or higher than the benchmark score in 2024, at 17-24.5.

“The above score is expected to be the school’s fixed benchmark, if there is any change, it will only be 0.25 points. The school is waiting for the 6th virtual screening by the Ministry of Education and Training to complete, then we will complete to announce the benchmark at 6 p.m.,” said Mr. Son.

According to the Ministry of Education and Training's benchmark score announcement process, after completing 6 virtual filtering rounds, by 5:00 p.m. this afternoon, August 20, training institutions will enter the admission scores and admission results into the system, review and prepare to announce the first round of admission results according to the general schedule.

Universities can announce benchmark scores from 5:00 p.m. on August 20 to 5:00 p.m. on August 22.
