Joyful day Ha Giang - Tuyen Quang "come home together"

BHG - On the morning of June 30, at connecting points throughout the province, tens of thousands of cadres, party members and people gathered to witness the important moment - the announcement of the Resolution and Decision of the Central and local governments on merging provincial and commune-level administrative units, ending the operation of district-level administrative units, establishing Party organizations, appointing Party committees, People's Councils, People's Committees, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees of Tuyen Quang province, communes and wards. This is a milestone that lays the foundation for sustainable development of the locality in the new era.

The heavy rain in the early morning could not cool down the excitement and expectations of the cadres, party members and people when the two provinces officially "came under one roof". The joy from the center of Ha Giang 1 and Ha Giang 2 wards to the border communes; the atmosphere was bustling like a big festival. Red flags fluttered, the sound of applause filled the auditorium when the Decision was announced, making many people unable to hide their emotions when witnessing that historic moment.

Ms. Dang Thi Oanh, a retired police officer in Ha Gang 2 ward, emotionally shared: “Since the policy of merging provinces was announced, I have been looking forward to this for a long time, because the merger is not only an administrative event but also a connection of emotions, of the aspiration for solidarity and development. I believe this is an opportunity for my hometown to change more strongly.”

At online bridges in communes, people watched the event on big screens. In many remote communes, ethnic minority areas also organized to watch together. Mr. Lau Chu Tua, Secretary of the Party Cell of Sung Cang village, Sung Mang commune, excitedly said: "For people in the highlands who still have many difficulties, when the province merges, I believe that the people will have more opportunities to rise up, roads, schools, and medical stations will be better invested, and life will be less hungry and poor".

Officials of Ha Giang 2 ward are excited and expect innovation when Tuyen Quang and Ha Giang provinces merge.

Not only the people but also the cadres, party members, civil servants and public employees have shown a spirit of readiness to change and adapt to better serve in the new apparatus. Mr. Ma Doan Khanh, Vice Chairman of Lung Cu Commune People's Committee shared: "When organizing a two-level government apparatus and merging Tuyen Quang province with Ha Giang, there will certainly be many challenges at first, but we determine that this is an opportunity to perfect the apparatus and improve the quality of service to the people. The most important thing is that we unite together, work together and join hands to build our homeland to develop day by day".

The atmosphere at the connecting points became even more bustling when the typical traditional cultural beauty was gathered through the national costumes, creating rich colors. That image is like a vivid proof of the exchange and convergence between the homeland, the "cradle" of the revolution, and the multi-cultural rocky land. The event of announcing the Merger Resolution is not only an administrative milestone but also a moment to arouse the spirit of solidarity, trust and expectation for a sustainable and inclusive future. People everywhere eagerly await specific changes, from infrastructure, public services, education, healthcare to economic and tourism development opportunities.

The announcement ceremony ended, the friendly handshakes, warm hugs, the eyes of the cadres, party members, and people at the headland of the Fatherland shone with faith and hope.
