Up to this point, the Ministry of Education and Training has approved the plan to organize the exam and consider recognizing high school graduation from 2025. According to this plan, next year, students will take a high school graduation exam in 4 subjects, including 2 compulsory subjects (literature, math) and 2 subjects that students can choose from the remaining subjects studied in grade 12 (foreign language, history, physics, chemistry, biology, geography, economic and legal education, information technology, technology). With the plan for students to choose 2 subjects out of these 9 subjects, there will be 36 different ways to choose graduation exam subjects. For the first time in many years, the graduation exam for high school seniors has had major changes.

Not only graduation exams, admissions in 2025 are also expected to have many changes. The Ministry of Education and Training has announced a draft circular amending and supplementing a number of articles of the regulations on admissions to university and college levels in preschool education. The final plan has not been finalized, but some adjustments of the draft are expected to have a major impact on the admission plans of schools. Currently, schools are building subject combinations for admission to majors and admission methods, including considering methods for the early admission stage... The decisions of universities on admission methods will directly affect students when participating in the admissions next year.
