With a duration of 100 minutes, "Under the Glorious Flag" connects three points: Ba Dinh Square ( Hanoi ), Ngo Mon Square (Hue) and Thu Thiem Creative Park (Ho Chi Minh City).
Throughout the program, viewers are taken through the glorious golden pages of history, from the revolutionary autumn of 1945 to the stages of resistance, building and defending the Fatherland in peacetime.
Epic song honoring the Fatherland and Uncle Ho's soldiers
Right from the opening minutes, the song "Vietnam brocade" (Viet Danh, Quang Linh, Suboi) resounded in an epic artistic space, arousing patriotism and heroic spirit.
At each point, the MC took turns leading the audience on a journey to recreate the golden pages of the nation's history. It was the majestic, emotional atmosphere of the autumn of the 1945 Revolution, the Declaration of Independence ceremony on September 2 at Ba Dinh Square. It was the hard, arduous days when the Southern resistance war broke out, the Dien Bien Phu victory "resounding throughout the five continents, shaking the world", the legendary Truong Son and the great victory of spring 1975...

At the Hue bridge, the audience seemed to relive the moment Bao Dai abdicated, the red flag with yellow star fluttering over the ancient capital. In Ho Chi Minh City, memories of the Southern uprising, the days when the Southern army and people started the resistance war against the French colonialists, were recalled with emotion. A series of animations, reports and LED images combined with music highlighted the indomitable spirit, revolutionary tradition and sacred values of the Fatherland.
In particular, the atmosphere of the program calmed down when the signal sounded, everyone turned to the historic Ba Dinh Square to perform the flag-raising ceremony. After the national anthem resounded under the red flag with yellow star, the audience across the country was moved when Uncle Ho's voice echoed in the immortal excerpt of the Declaration of Independence.
"My fellow countrymen! All men are born equal... The entire Vietnamese people are determined to devote all their spirit and strength, their lives and property to maintain that freedom and independence..." That moment seemed to transcend time, fully recreating the heroic spirit and pride of the Vietnamese people on Independence Day - a brilliant milestone that opened a new era for the country.
Throughout the program, the image of Uncle Ho's soldiers appeared vividly through revolutionary songs that have stood the test of time such as "The Party Flag", "The National Defense Corps", "Southern Resistance", mixed with new compositions such as "The Sea, the Earth and the Sky", "Forgetting Yourself for the People"...

Real-life stories from Mrs. Nguyen Thi Xun - wife of martyr Tran Van Kinh, veteran Nguyen The Nghia, Dam Duy Thien... clearly depict the steadfast spirit, bravery and silent sacrifice of soldiers, from fierce battlefields to "guard shifts" in peacetime.
One of the most touching moments was the special changing of the guard in front of Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum at night. There was no music, only the resounding footsteps of the honor guards, the drops of sweat silently falling down their determined faces, like an immortal oath to guard his peaceful sleep.
That image not only reminds us of the tradition of "loyalty to the Party, filial piety to the people" but also becomes a symbol of respect, perseverance and sacred responsibility.

Aspiration to contribute to the new era
If the first part of the program recreates the flow of history, honors the Fatherland and depicts Uncle Ho's soldiers, the second part opens up a profound political message, looking towards the present and the future.
Reports, skits and songs such as "Under the Glorious Flag" and "Forgetting Yourself for the People" affirm that over the past 80 years, the Party, the Fatherland and the people have always been the fulcrum for the Vietnam People's Army to complete all tasks. And vice versa, the Army has always been the fulcrum and trust of the Party, the country and the people in all circumstances.

Stories from the battlefields of the past to the peacetime guard duty today all convey the message: revolutionary ideals are the guiding light. That is the spirit of being ready to accept tasks, to devote oneself to the people and the country, not afraid of hardship or sacrifice.
The love and pride in the Party, the State and the nation of every Vietnamese person arose when hearing General Secretary To Lam affirm: "...The Vietnam People's Army will always be the pride of the heroic Vietnamese nation!". Minister of National Defense Phan Van Giang emphasized that despite hardships or possible sacrifices in peacetime, soldiers still accept the task of "doing their best for the people, for the Fatherland, for the longevity of this country".
The vibrant melodies at the end of the program seemed to send a message about a strong, united Vietnam, with a unified will and aspiration. From heroic memories to developing reality, "Under the glorious flag" affirms the belief in a new journey. That is the journey of today's generation "shouldering the future of the country, creating their own future", together with the whole nation entering an era of glorious growth under the national flag.
