The information was shared by the leaders of the Vietnam National Traditional Theater at a press conference on August 7 in Hanoi. This is a special artistic activity, aiming to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2 (1945 - 2025).

Set in the historical period of 1941-1945, the play depicts Nguyen Ai Quoc's journey back to the country after three decades of searching for a way to save the country, to directly lead the revolutionary movement, leading to the great victory of the August Revolution. The image of Uncle Ho in the play is not only a leader but also a simple, close, lively person among the masses and comrades in arms.

The scriptwriter, Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen The Ky shared: “We aim to bring the character of Ho Chi Minh back to everyday life, without sanctifying him. In his relationship with comrades such as Truong Chinh, Vo Nguyen Giap, Hoang Van Thu… and with the simple mountain people, the image of Uncle Ho appears both noble and close.”

The play was staged by the Vietnam National Traditional Theater, bringing together a talented team of artists: People's Artist Trieu Trung Kien directed, author Hoang Song Viet adapted the opera, People's Artist Trong Dai was in charge of music , People's Artist Doan Bang designed the art... Artists such as People's Artist Manh Hung, Meritorious Artist Quang Khai, Meritorious Artist Tien Dai, Nhu Quynh, Ngan Ha... participated in roles rich in inner feelings.

Artist Van Thuan, who plays President Ho Chi Minh, said: “At first, I was very worried because this was a big role. But thanks to the encouragement of the director and colleagues, I put all my heart and soul into the role, from voice to demeanor, to play the role as realistically as possible.”

Director - People's Artist Trieu Trung Kien revealed more: "We boldly let the character Nguyen Ai Quoc - Ho Chi Minh both sing and speak like the other characters, so that the main character is not isolated, but closer to the audience and to history itself."

With a new way of performing, focusing on humanity and authenticity, “From Viet Bac to Hanoi” promises to be a profound artistic mark, contributing to reviving the heroic history of the nation through traditional theater.
