Trang Dinh: Dong Dang-Tra Linh land clearance

The Dong Dang - Tra Linh expressway passing through the province is about 52km long. Of which, the longest route through Trang Dinh commune is 14.8km; the area requiring site clearance in the commune is 149.76ha with 631 households and individuals affected.

Mr. Huong Duy Tung, Vice Chairman of Trang Dinh Commune People's Committee said: Immediately after coming into operation, the Commune People's Committee urgently completed the apparatus and established 3 propaganda teams; clearly assigned people and tasks to each team according to the old communes to achieve high efficiency; organized propaganda and mobilization 7/7 days a week.

According to the review of Trang Dinh Commune People's Committee, out of 24 villages of the commune, there are 11 villages with families whose land has been recovered. Therefore, the propaganda teams of Trang Dinh Commune have developed a weekly land acquisition plan for affected cases, set out a time frame for handing over the site for each case; classified groups of affected subjects according to the area of ​​agricultural land and residential land recovery to ensure the propaganda work is correct, accurate and effective.

In addition, the Commune People's Committee directed village chiefs to actively participate in mobilizing and persuading people to hand over land to implement the project. For example, in Na Ao village, Trang Dinh commune, 76 out of 148 households in the village had their land recovered with more than 6 hectares. Ms. Luong Thi Binh, Party cell secretary, Head of Na Ao village said: At each meeting, I coordinated with members of the Commune's Land Acquisition Steering Committee to review households affected by the project to organize propaganda and mobilization. For households that still had questions about the compensation price, we persuaded people to agree to the provisional plan. Thanks to that, up to now, 100% of households have proactively handed over the land. Of which, the majority of households in the village voluntarily handed over the land first, receiving compensation later.

Along with Na Ao village, in the remaining 10 villages of Trang Dinh commune where people are affected by the Dong Dang - Tra Linh expressway project, the units participating in the project's site clearance have organized village meetings to provide specific information about the project's implementation plan and disseminate documents from the province and the investor about the project. Thanks to that, people have high trust and consensus.

One of the factors that contributed to the high results of the land acquisition and clearance for the Dong Dang - Tra Linh expressway project in Trang Dinh commune is that the Commune Land Acquisition and Clearance Steering Committee actively listened to and answered people's concerns and wishes as well as supported people during the land acquisition and clearance process. Especially for households that were required to relocate but did not have other housing, the unit mobilized human resources to help people move their assets and arrange temporary housing.

Mr. Nong Van Doan, Na Noong village, Trang Dinh commune said: My family has over 3,000m2 of land recovered, including all land and houses, while there is no resettlement site. Through propaganda, understanding the significance of the project, my family agreed to temporarily reside and was supported by commune officials and other forces to move their assets and arrange temporary residence even on holidays. Therefore, even though I have not received compensation, I have proactively handed over the site so that the project can be completed soon.

With the drastic participation in the site clearance work, Trang Dinh commune has so far completed site clearance for 630/631 affected households and individuals. Currently, there is only 1 case in Coc Bao village that wishes to be arranged for additional resettlement (beyond the authority of the commune level). Therefore, Trang Dinh commune is actively coordinating with relevant units to resolve people's petitions in August 2025, ensuring compliance with the set plan.
