Kien Hai has directed accommodation establishments, hotels, motels, and tourist attractions in Nam Du island commune to share difficulties with tourists, reduce room rates by 30-50%. At the same time, create the best conditions for tourists during their stay."

Mr. Viet also informed that many local people on the island have been kind to tourists, willing to lend them cooking utensils and even let them eat and sleep for free if they run out of money.

Mr. Bui Quoc Thai, Director of Kien Giang Province Department of Tourism, said that the Department also directed tourist attractions on the island to strictly implement and ensure the safety of tourists.

Beaches must be strictly controlled, entertainment venues, boats going to the islands to fish or moving to small islands that are not safe during the storm season must be temporarily suspended.

Hotels and restaurants are not allowed to "overcharge", but should support and share the difficulties of tourists stuck on the island as much as possible", Mr. Thai shared.

As for the Ha Tien - Phu Quoc route, the ship has been operating again since July 14, thus resolving the number of tourists stranded on Phu Quoc Island.

Regarding inland waterway routes near the shore, according to Mr. Truong Ngoc Phuoc, Director of Kien Giang Inland Waterways Port Authority: Rach Gia - Hon Tre, Rach Gia - Lai Son, Ha Tien - Tien Hai, Kien Luong - Hon Nghe routes and other near-shore routes allow ships to operate normally.

Shipping lines, Suppedong ferry, Phu Quoc Express, Thanh Thoi ferry, Hoa Binh also proactively implemented procedures to update weather forecasts and regularly notify customers.

The airlines will be ready to serve passengers who need to change or return tickets according to customer requests. At the same time, there will be an announcement as soon as the weather is good when the ferry is allowed to operate again.
