From the afternoon of October 1-2, the area from Ha Tinh to Thua Thien Hue will have moderate rain, heavy rain and thunderstorms, locally very heavy rain with common rainfall from 30-70mm, locally over 150mm. During thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind.

At sea, early this morning, storm Krathon , level 16 (184-201km/h), gusting over level 17, entered the northeastern sea area of ​​the North East Sea, becoming the 5th storm in 2024. According to current forecasts, the storm is unlikely to affect coastal areas and mainland of our country.

Due to the influence of the storm, the northeastern sea area of ​​the North East Sea (north of latitude 18.0N; east of longitude 116.5E) has strong winds of level 10-13, near the storm center of level 14-16, gusting over level 17, waves 7-9m high; rough seas.

From noon on October 1, in the Gulf of Tonkin, the wind will change direction to Northeast, gradually increasing to level 6, gusting to level 7-8; rough seas; waves 2-3m high.
