Within the framework of the State visit of General Secretary To Lam and his wife and the high-ranking delegation of the Communist Party of Vietnam to Korea, on August 12, the high-ranking delegation of the Communist Party of Vietnam led by Comrade Nguyen Duy Ngoc, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Central Inspection Commission , Deputy Head of the Central Steering Committee for Science, Technology, Innovation and Digital Transformation, visited and worked at Pangyo High-Tech Valley - Korea's leading innovation center.
Also attending this activity were comrades: Nguyen Van Nen, Member of the Politburo , Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee; Nguyen Van Quang, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Da Nang City Party Committee; Pham Gia Tuc, Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Chief of the Central Office; Truong Viet Dung, Vice Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee; Bui The Duy, Deputy Minister of Science and Technology, and members of the working delegation.
Receiving and working with the delegation, on the Korean side, there were: Mr. Kim Tae Hyoung, Member of the Gyeonggi Provincial Assembly, Senior Vice President in charge of Politics of the Democratic Party, Member in charge of Smart Cities - Environment, Science and Technology for the Future; Dr. Tran Hai Linh, Member of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Chairman of the Vietnam-Korea Business and Investment Association (VKBIA); and the Executive Board of Pangyo High-Tech Valley.
At the meeting, the delegation was introduced to the development model, strategic orientation and innovation ecosystem in Pangyo - home to nearly 2,000 high-tech enterprises, research centers and venture capital funds. The two sides had in-depth discussions on the potential for cooperation in the fields of digital transformation, artificial intelligence, biotechnology, smart cities, as well as the mechanism for connecting businesses and technology incubators between Vietnam and Korea.
Speaking at the meeting, Comrade Nguyen Duy Ngoc highly appreciated the role of Pangyo High-Tech Valley in promoting innovation, and affirmed that Vietnam considers science, technology and innovation as one of the important driving forces for rapid and sustainable development. He expressed his desire to strengthen cooperation between localities, agencies, research institutes and enterprises of the two countries.

Leaders of Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang and Hanoi also exchanged and learned from Korea's experiences in building High-Tech Valleys, Free Economic Zones, Smart City systems and Smart Urban Areas.
In particular, during this working trip to Gyeonggido Province and Pangyo High-Tech Valley, the Vietnam-Korea Business and Investment Association played an important role in coordinating the organization, connecting the schedule and working content of the delegation here. At the same time, it contributed to promoting direct cooperation between enterprises and technology organizations of the two countries in particular, as well as promoting cooperation between the two localities in priority areas.
“The Vietnam-Korea Business and Investment Association will continue to accompany Vietnamese agencies, localities and enterprises in approaching and learning from Korea’s high-tech development model, as well as implementing specific cooperation projects right after the visit, bringing practical results to both Vietnam and Korea,” emphasized Dr. Tran Hai Linh, Chairman of the Vietnam-Korea Business and Investment Association.

On this occasion, Mr. Kim Tae Hyoung, Commissioner in charge of Smart Cities - Environment, Science and Technology for the Future shared with the delegation about the experience in management, operation and development of Smart City, application of science and high technology for economic and social development in the locality in particular and Korea in general. The leader of Pangyo High-Tech Valley (Korea) expressed his willingness to support Vietnam in sharing experiences, training high-tech human resources, connecting startup ecosystems and cooperating in research and development.
The visit and working session at Pangyo High-Tech Valley by the high-ranking delegation of the Communist Party of Vietnam, with the effective coordination and support of the Vietnam-Korea Business and Investment Association, not only opened up many new cooperation opportunities in the fields of science, technology and innovation, but also contributed to consolidating and deepening the friendly, trustworthy and comprehensive cooperative relationship between Vietnam and Korea.
