Taking advantage of the rain over the past few days, people in Thach Ha district (Ha Tinh) have killed over 60,000 rats to protect crops.

Recently, in Ha Tinh, there has been heavy rain, the water level in the fields has risen, so rats often gather in hills, ditches, and fields to take shelter. This is also a favorable time for people in Thach Ha district to carry out rat extermination to protect the upcoming winter crop of 2023 and spring crop of 2024.

Because they understand that rats are rodents and are mainly active at night, in recent days, from 7pm to 10pm, many people have used flashlights and sticks to kill rats in the fields. During the day, people dig holes, pour water, and smoke to catch and kill them.
