This afternoon, when visiting the restaurant, the old notice board had been removed, replaced by a new sympathetic board: "My restaurant makes orders according to the driver's order, please wait in line. Please check the order before delivering for me."

An employee at the restaurant said the sign was recently changed after the restaurant received a lot of negative feedback on social media. The owner said that in nearly 4 years of business, the restaurant has never thought of differentiating between customers and shippers.

"We are very friendly and appreciate the shippers who come to the restaurant to deliver food to customers, because up to 90% of the customers at the restaurant order food through the food app and the shipper is the bridge between the restaurant and the customers. When the shipper comes to us, the restaurant always has the best policy for the shipper, such as when the customer cancels the order, the restaurant takes full responsibility for the refund to ensure the rights of the brothers and sisters.

When the shipper combines 2 or 3 orders or mistakenly delivers combined orders between shops, the shop is still responsible for refunding the customer. This happens many times," said the shop owner.

Regarding the restaurant's preference for outside customers, the owner said that because the number of customers serving on-site only accounts for 10%, the restaurant also only has 2 tables for customers to sit and eat, so sometimes the restaurant will give preference to customers to sit and eat a little bit because if they wait for the delivery person's order to be processed, the customer will have to wait a long time. The restaurant said that during peak times, especially at noon, the number of delivery people coming to the restaurant is large, requiring long lines.

“However, it may be due to the unsympathetic wording of the sign. The restaurant has learned from the experience in the wording and has changed the sign to be more appropriate. There is no reason for the restaurant to discriminate between shippers and customers, it is like destroying their own rice bowl," the restaurant owner added.
