Da Nang welcomed 6.6 million visitors in the first 7 months of the year

According to the Department of Statistics of Da Nang City, in July 2024, accommodation establishments in Da Nang welcomed 1.3 million visitors, an increase of nearly 15% compared to the previous month and 49% compared to the same period in 2023. Of which, international visitors reached more than 427 thousand, an increase of more than 23%; domestic visitors reached more than 902 thousand, an increase of approximately 65% ​​over the same period in 2023.

In the first 7 months of 2024, the total number of guests served by Da Nang accommodation establishments reached 6.6 million, an increase of 33% over the same period in 2023. Of which, international guests reached 2.5 million, an increase of 34.7%; domestic guests reached 4.2 million, an increase of nearly 32%.

Notably, the number of overnight tourists in the first 7 months of the year reached 4.9 million (up 27.4%), of which international overnight visitors reached 2.3 million (up 27.4%); the number of day-stay visitors reached 1.7 million (up 52.7%), of which international day-stay visitors reached 145,700 (up more than 54%).

Revenue from accommodation and catering services in July 2024 reached VND 2,772 billion, up 29.8% over the same period last year. In the first 7 months of 2024, total revenue reached VND 15,700 billion, up 23.5% over the same period last year. Of which, accommodation revenue reached VND 5,759 billion, up 34.2%; food and beverage revenue reached VND 9,942 billion, up 18%.

‏Tourism and travel service revenue in July reached over VND853.2 billion, up 39.2% over the same period. In the first 7 months of 2024, revenue reached nearly VND4,344 billion, accounting for 5.5% of the total and up nearly 58% over the same period last year.

The number of tourists traveling on tours in the past 7 months reached 824.3 thousand arrivals, an increase of nearly 9% over the same period in 2023. Of which, international visitors increased by 45.6%; domestic visitors decreased by 4.8% and Vietnamese visitors traveling abroad increased by 19.1% over the same period last year.
