Attending the conference were representatives of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department, Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs, Provincial Police and representatives of many press agencies.
At the conference, representatives of the Department of Information and Communications and the Provincial Police provided information on two topics: Basic content on human rights work and foreign information; work to ensure human rights in the province in 2024.
The conference was held with the hope that journalists and reporters would join hands with local authorities to promote the highest role and noble mission of the press in disseminating the efforts and achievements of the Party, State and Quang Nam province in ensuring human rights in all fields.
Focusing on poverty reduction, taking care of people's lives, especially in mountainous areas, ethnic minorities, and vulnerable groups so that no one is left behind; positive assessments and comments from public opinion and international media on the results of Vietnam's work to ensure and develop human rights.
Besides, there is positive information, promoting moral values, goodness, humane lifestyle, solidarity, mutual love, patriotism, national pride...
This is the first conference nationwide organized at the provincial level to provide information to the press on human rights work and foreign affairs information.
Currently, at the central level, the Ministry of Information and Communications is coordinating with the Standing Committee of the Government's Human Rights Steering Committee to maintain a monthly conference mechanism and provide it to localities.
Therefore, in 2025, the Department of Information and Communications will study and integrate this content into quarterly press conferences or provincial press conferences to promptly provide documents and reports on human rights work in general and of Quang Nam province in particular to press agencies.
