According to the Ho Chi Minh City Traffic Police Department, at 5:10 p.m. the same day, Lieutenant Colonel Tran Thanh Tam, Deputy Head of Tan Tuc Traffic Police Station, and Traffic Police Captain Hoang Nhu Mai were on duty at the Ho Chi Minh City - Trung Luong Expressway.
At this time, a 4-seat car driver with a Long An license plate came to ask the traffic police to clear the way to take the 75-year-old man who was electrocuted to the hospital.
The victim is in critical condition and is at risk of death at any time. However, the road to the University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital in Ho Chi Minh City is still quite far.
Lieutenant Colonel Tam and Captain Mai quickly rode their special motorbikes, sirens on, leading the way. Traffic police continuously signaled for vehicles to pull over at busy intersections.
