On December 16, in Hanoi, the Vietnam Folk Arts Association (VPA) held the 2023 Folk Arts Awards ceremony.

Prof. Dr. Le Hong Ly - Chairman of the Vietnam Association of Fine Arts said: This year , the Vietnam Association of Fine Arts received 81 entries to the award in 5 majors, in both the fields of investigation, collection and research, and introduction . The preliminary council selected 60 entries that were eligible to be submitted to the Specialized Council .
As a result, the Council unanimously awarded 50 prizes to authors and groups of authors with valuable collection and research works . Specifically, there was no work that won the First Prize. The Association awarded 1 Second Prize A, 2 Second Prize B, 9 Third Prize A, 15 Third Prize B, 14 Encouragement Prizes and 9 Gifts to authors and groups of authors.
Author Do Thanh Danh - Member of Binh Thuan Literature and Arts Association with the research work "Fish sauce making in Phan Thiet" ( in the field of culinary culture, traditional crafts and folk knowledge ) was awarded the Third Prize B.
On this occasion, the Vietnam Folk Artist Association also organized a ceremony to confer the title of Folk Artist on members and celebrate the longevity of elderly members .
