Cong Phuong is about to have a new teacher who is a legend of the Vietnamese team?

Binh Phuoc Club is considering inviting Coach Le Huynh Duc to sit in the "hot seat" left by Mr. Nguyen Anh Duc on the coaching bench. Mr. Huynh Duc is a rare high-class coach who is "unemployed" in the V.League. Binh Phuoc still wants to choose a domestic coach instead of a foreign expert to lead the team.

This strategist is currently a lecturer for coaching courses of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF). In the past, Mr. Le Huynh Duc was considered a legend of the Vietnam national team.

The former striker scored 27 goals in 52 matches for the national team. Mr. Huynh Duc won the V.League championship twice as a coach and once as a player. Coach Le Huynh Duc won the Vietnam Golden Ball award three times.

Previously, Cong Phuong's team confirmed the news of parting ways with coach Nguyen Anh Duc but did not give a clear reason.

" Based on self-respect and the regret of keeping the honorable promise from the beginning of the season, and more importantly, from the desire to see the club develop even stronger, Coach Anh Duc discussed and agreed with the club's leadership that this was the right decision, aiming for a good future for both sides ," Binh Phuoc Club informed on the team's official social media account.

Binh Phuoc FC entered the 2024-2025 season with high goals. The team recruited striker Nguyen Cong Phuong with a rumored "signing fee" of up to 18 billion VND for a 3-year contract. Binh Phuoc's squad also has a number of other notable faces such as Bui Tan Truong, Huynh Tan Sinh, Sam Ngoc Duc, Ho Tuan Tai, Le Thanh Binh...

However, with a 7-point gap to Phu Dong Ninh Binh Club, Binh Phuoc is facing many difficulties in its ambition to win the championship. The team's performance has declined significantly since Nguyen Cong Phuong was injured. He will be absent until at least the end of March.
