According to the Secretary of the Dong Nai Provincial Party Committee, to implement the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau expressway project, Dong Nai must reclaim more than 289 hectares of land in Bien Hoa City and Long Thanh District, affecting 3,400 households. Of these, more than 2,400 households are subject to resettlement.

The Secretary of Dong Nai Provincial Party Committee requested relevant units to quickly carry out the counting, quickly, accurately and in accordance with the law.

Units in charge of counting need to make more efforts and increase working hours to complete the task soon.

According to Mr. Nguyen Hong Linh, the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau expressway project must be transparent and publicize information related to the project to the people. The Secretary of the Dong Nai Provincial Party Committee requested that the Project Management Board must have two offices to provide information and receive information about the project so that people in the project area can promptly report.

“When people need to approach any issues or want to share something, someone must answer immediately. Clear policies, transparent information, and strict implementation, do not let vague information make people not understand,” the Secretary of Dong Nai Provincial Party Committee directed.

The Secretary of the Dong Nai Provincial Party Committee also said that it is necessary to direct departments to receive and resolve complaints for people thoroughly. In the process, mistakes may be unavoidable, so localities need to receive complaints and handle them clearly.

He also requested law enforcement agencies to support people in exercising their rights and obligations, and not to violate the law during project implementation.

"If people are upset, we must clarify so that they understand. Don't let it cause complications and avoid factors that lead to violations of the law," said Mr. Nguyen Hong Linh.

In addition, Mr. Nguyen Hong Linh also requested that the units involved in the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau expressway project must develop the best compensation price for the people. The Secretary of Dong Nai province said that after counting and having specific policies, money should be paid to the people before December 31, 2023.

"Regarding disbursement, we encourage people to receive money first, then in early 2024 when there is resettlement land, we will draw lots, it is not necessary to do both things at the same time," Mr. Linh emphasized.

Regarding resettlement, the Secretary of Dong Nai Provincial Party Committee requested that relevant units should try to implement resettlement areas that ensure the objectives, quality, and suitable locations of resettlement areas.

“The new resettlement area must have a higher quality of life than the old one, better social infrastructure, and more spacious roads. We need to learn from the experience of the social urban infrastructure of An Loc Son area to have a faster, better, and higher quality resettlement area,” the Secretary of the Dong Nai Provincial Party Committee directed.

On the other hand, to get people to unanimously support the relocation and voluntarily hand over land to build the Bien Hoa - Dong Nai expressway, Mr. Linh hopes to receive the people's cooperation and solidarity.

“We are going slowly, so we have to go faster in the future. The support of the people will help Dong Nai province speed up the completion of the tasks assigned by the Government. I hope that the people will always support the locality to carry out this task in the best way,” said Mr. Linh.

The Bien Hoa - Vung Tau Expressway Project has a total length of nearly 54 km, divided into three component projects. Of which, the project passes through Bien Hoa City, Long Thanh District, Dong Nai Province with a length of more than 34 km (with two component projects 1 and 2).

The land acquisition area of ​​this project is more than 289 hectares and the number of households affected by the project is 3,436 households.

Up to now, in some locations, contractors have gathered equipment, machinery, and built camps, but there is no construction site for the project.
