Beautify the landscape
At the end of March, the opening ceremony of the National Tourism Year - Hue 2025 took place at the outdoor stage in front of Quoc Hoc High School for the Gifted, Thuan Hoa District, bringing Hue people and audiences nationwide a vibrant light show.
To create that sparkling performance, the outdoor stage was equipped with a unique lighting system. According to Mr. Duong Quang Hien, Director of the Thuan Hoa District Green Park Center, this area is equipped with 2 floodlights, more than 200 LED backlights and more than 300 waterproof LED bar lights. The LED bar light system is mounted along the grandstand steps, railings and stage borders, creating a soft moving effect every time the light changes color. Meanwhile, the LED backlights create depth of space, helping the stage area stand out while still maintaining harmony with the riverside landscape.
The birth of the outdoor stage on the banks of the Perfume River not only beautifies the landscape, but also opens up opportunities to exploit the tourism and cultural potential of both banks of the Perfume River to the fullest. This is one of the long-standing concerns of those who love Hue.
Remember at the final workshop on “Detailed planning of the two banks of the Perfume River and the pilot project” in 2018, some delegates expressed their opinions: The area on both banks of the Perfume River is currently quite dark and lacks highlights, and needs more prominent lighting highlights. This opinion received the agreement of the provincial leaders and many delegates. Since then, with the strong development of artistic lighting technology, Hue has gradually turned urban spaces into vibrant works of art at night.
One of the evidences for this change is the fountain at Ly Tu Trong Park, in front of the Hue City People's Committee headquarters. The focal point of the park is the artistic fountain with a stylized apricot blossom design, divided into three main circles. All are combined with RGB LED lights, creating a mesmerizing water and light show that delights locals and visitors.
Add new highlights
Along with the strong development of artistic lighting works in the city, another highlight that cannot be ignored is Nguyen Hoang Bridge, a new project that attracts the attention of people and tourists. The bridge is designed based on the symbolic image of "Crane paying homage to Thien Mu", with the arches of the bridge like a pair of open crane wings, gently flying over the river, towards Thien Mu Pagoda. The shape of the bridge represents the solemnity and majesty of Vietnamese kings, while honoring the close relationship between people and nature, especially the Huong River. Yellow was chosen as the main color, symbolizing the inheritance and promotion of traditional cultural values.
To create more highlights, Nguyen Hoang Bridge is decorated with a system of artistic lights in the shape of royal golden parasols at both ends of the bridge. These parasols not only bear a strong cultural imprint, but also continuously change color, creating a brilliant picture on the Perfume River at night. In addition to the parasol system, Nguyen Hoang Bridge is also equipped with a color-changing dome lighting system, which can be flexibly changed to suit each festival or special event. Color-changing lighting technology is also applied synchronously to the cable-stayed system and under the bridge, creating a harmonious and impressive whole. Moreover, the bridge is also equipped with a modern traffic lighting system, both ensuring safety and contributing to the beauty of the urban space.
