Vietnam tourism has continuously received many positive effects from the breakthrough and drastic solutions of each industry and each locality in enhancing communication effectiveness, as well as improving the quality of products and services, meeting the increasing demands of tourists.

Figures recently released by the General Statistics Office show that in March 2025, international visitors to Vietnam reached more than 2.05 million, an increase of 28.5% over the same period last year. In the first quarter, international visitors to Vietnam reached more than 6 million, an increase of 29.6% over the same period and the highest number of visitors in a quarter ever.
The tourism industry is entering a period of "bursting energy" after being affected by the pandemic.

Not only international visitors, but also domestic visitors have shown good signs. A series of culinary and tourism festival events held in many localities have attracted a large number of visitors, especially in the Southern region. For example, in Vinh Long, to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and the reunification of the country, there are many events welcoming domestic and foreign visitors. Notably, the Culture-Sports-Tourism Week of Vinh Long province in 2025, with many diverse, rich, and unique activities on a large scale.

By 2025, we aim to welcome 22-23 million international tourists and 120-130 million domestic tourists. To achieve this goal, diversifying the flow of tourists, as well as increasing competitiveness, service attitude, skills, and professionalism to respond to all situations of tourism workers are very important.

According to experts, it is time for the tourism industry to focus more on quality, to bring higher added value to the economy. When welcoming luxury and wealthy customers, it will help bring in higher income but reduce pressure on the environment and social management. Thailand is such a case, when since 2024, this country has no longer paid much attention to statistics on the number of visitors but focused on revenue. They also encourage businesses to exploit more high-end tours after a long time attracting customers with cheap tours!
