The program also aims to celebrate the country's major holidays this year such as the 80th National Day on September 2, the 80th anniversary of the founding of the People's Public Security, the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification, and the 135th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday.

The program brings together more than 200 artists, with the participation of famous artists, professional orchestras and choirs, and many generations of students and associates of musician Hoang Van to honor the monumental career and special artistic heritage of one of the greats of modern Vietnamese music .

In addition to some famous songs that have been imprinted in the memories of many generations, the program introduces many instrumental works, symphonies, suites, children's choirs, works for soloists and orchestra. Many pieces are restored from family archives and performed again after a long absence.

The program is structured as a Hoang Van Symphony consisting of 2 chapters:

Chapter I, titled “Reminiscences”, is a selection of works, recalling historical milestones and future aspirations recorded in the sounds of the composer’s own life, such as “Symphony No. II”, Memorial (Chapter I), especially the musical composition of the poem “Night Scene” by President Ho Chi Minh, restored by conductor Le Phi Phi from the original text. In addition, there are revolutionary songs that have stood the test of time, such as “I am a miner”, “That soldier”, “Transportation song”. In particular, the work “My dear Quang Binh ” is renewed with the combination of the moon lute of People’s Artist Co Huy Hung and the Symphony Orchestra.

Chapter II , titled “For the Next Generation”, includes the works “Lullaby in the Fireworks Night”, “I Love My School”, “The Ringed Bird”, “The Season of Royal Poinciana Blossoms”, “Love Song of the Central Highlands”, “Sailor’s Heartfelt Song”, “Singing About Today’s Rice Plants”, “Song of the People’s Teacher” and the mashup “For Today, for Tomorrow, for the Next Generation”.

Musician Hoang Van (1930-2015) is one of the great names of Vietnamese music. He left behind more than 700 works of diverse forms, genres and formats: songs, choirs, film music, symphonies, instrumental music, children's music..., a rich heritage in which many works have become cultural symbols, accompanying the country.
