Check-in the most beautiful Sa Pa villages during this year's rice harvest season

Since the end of July, while other places in Sa Pa the rice is still green or just starting to flower, the terraced fields in Nam Cang have turned yellow and smelled of ripe rice. People have been busy harvesting every early morning.

Compared to Ta Van - Lao Chai or Cat Cat villages, Nam Cang is not too close to the center of Sa Pa and still retains many wild beauty. The terraced fields are not vast but narrow and high, dotted with local rice-watching huts.

Do Van Anh ( Hung Yen ) shared: “From Sa Pa to Nam Cang is about 40km of road, similar to the one I went 2 years ago. Riding a motorbike down here is not too difficult, even for girls. On the way, you can stop to admire the scenery at many beautiful spots, especially during the rice harvest season. Currently, Nam Cang rice ripens earlier than other places in Sa Pa and people start to harvest a lot. If you plan to go, go early.”

Lao Chai is about 7km from the center of Sa Pa and is home to the H'Mong and Dao people... Lao Chai and Ta Van are two large villages surrounded by the Hoang Lien Son and Ham Rong mountain ranges. Visitors to Lao Chai can simply trek or rent a motorbike and wander the trails. This season, the rice fields in Lao Chai are lush green, the natural scenery blends with the peaceful pace of life, captivating visitors from afar.

About 12 km from the center of Sa Pa, Ta Van is surrounded by terraced fields, which are just beginning to bloom. Coming to Ta Van, not only can you admire the rice fields, trek, visit local houses and learn about traditional crafts, but you can also freely check-in at cafes and restaurants with breathtaking rice field views.

Ta Van village is located with its back against the mountain, facing the poetic Muong Hoa valley. This year, the best time to see the ripe rice season in Ta Van is in late August and early September. At that time, the terraced fields of Ta Van seem to light up with the golden color of ripe rice, the fields seem to turn into silk ribbons embracing the Muong Hoa stream.

Passing Lao Chai suspension bridge is Y Linh Ho village, also located in Muong Hoa valley. Y Linh Ho is divided into 2 villages, Y Linh Ho 1 and 2, with about 100 households of Hmong and Dao people living there. In recent years, this place has become a new place to hunt for ripe rice in Sa Pa, when tourists are too familiar with Cat Cat, Lao Chai - Ta Van...
