According to local residents, the traffic congestion on Vinh Tuy Bridge began on the afternoon of September 10, when heavy rains occurred in Hanoi and the Red River rose.

As of 4pm on September 11, the traffic congestion on Vinh Tuy Bridge had not improved. To cross the bridge from the inner city to Co Linh, many drivers had to travel for more than 2 hours.

"Usually, when it rains heavily, Vinh Tuy Bridge is very smooth. Today, it may be due to the limited traffic on Chuong Duong Bridge and flooding at Co Linh intersection, which is why there is such a traffic jam," said a vehicle owner.

The branch to Vinh Tuy bridge towards Long Bien - Dam Quang Trung street is also congested with traffic.

In the opposite direction, from Long Bien to Hanoi, it is clear and easy for people to travel.
