In the next 6 hours, Quang Chieu, Hien Kiet, Muong Chanh, Muong Lat, Muong Min, Na Meo, Nhi Son, Pu Nhi, Quan Son, Son Dien, Son Thuy, Tam Lu, Tam Thanh, Van Xuan, Xuan Chinh are localities of Thanh Hoa on the warning list of risks of flash floods and landslides.
According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, today and tonight, the Northeast and Thanh Hoa will have moderate rain, heavy rain and thunderstorms with common rainfall of 50-150mm, locally very heavy rain over 300mm.

In the next 3-6 hours, the above provinces will continue to have rain with common accumulated rainfall as follows: Dien Bien , Son La, Lang Son, Quang Ninh from 20-50mm, some places over 100mm; Thanh Hoa and Nghe An from 10-30mm, some places over 90mm.
Warning of risk of heavy rain (>100mm/3h). Thunderstorms may cause tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind. From August 20, heavy rain in the areas will gradually decrease.
The meteorological agency recommends that local authorities pay attention to reviewing bottlenecks and vulnerable locations in the area to take preventive and response measures.
