Liverpool FC posted their condolences on the tragic passing of Diogo Jota. They also asked for privacy for Diogo Jota's family and friends. And promised to continue to support them as much as possible for the player's relatives.

Jota's former club Porto also wrote: "We are deeply shocked and saddened and send our sincere condolences to the family and friends of Diogo Jota and his brother Andre Silva - who was also our youth player. May they rest in peace."

For the Portuguese national team, he has made 49 appearances and scored 14 goals. Jota also won the UEFA Nations Cup twice with Cristiano Ronaldo in the 2018-2019 and 2024-2025 seasons.
