Flexible teaching methods and forms

Regarding teaching methods and forms, the Ministry of Education and Training recommends that Departments of Education and Training direct and guide teachers to strongly innovate teaching and learning methods, enhance students' self-study capacity, creative experiences, and guide students to develop their problem-solving thinking ability.

Effectively implement flexible and appropriate selection of teaching methods and forms of organization based on lesson content characteristics, program requirements and student groups.

Promote the role of teachers in organizing, guiding, supporting students to be proactive, positive, self-aware and develop self-study capacity throughout the learning process.

Diversify teaching and learning methods to ensure attractiveness, effectiveness, and suitability to the school's practical conditions, contributing to creating interest in learning and comprehensively developing students' abilities and qualities.

Strengthen training and capacity development for teachers in applying information technology and digital transformation to effectively apply innovative teaching methods, testing and assessment forms to improve the quality of teaching and learning activities in the current context.

Effectively implement methods and forms of testing and evaluation

Regarding testing and evaluation, the Ministry of Education and Training noted to fully and seriously implement regulations on student evaluation in the General Education Program as prescribed.

In particular, focus on innovating methods and diversifying forms of testing and assessment in the direction of developing students' qualities and abilities. Ensure assessment for the progress of learners, linked to the requirements of the program and suitable to the psychological characteristics of students' age and cognitive level.

Teachers are encouraged to flexibly integrate assessment forms, such as oral, written, practical, observation, learning products, paper-based or online tests, to comprehensively reflect students' learning process and training results.

Strengthen regular assessment during the learning process through a system of questions, exercises, group activities, learning projects, presentations, learning portfolios, etc. Organize periodic assessment with appropriate forms, such as practice tests, comprehensive tests, creative products, integrated projects.

Assessment activities need to be designed with clear objectives, specific criteria, transparent scoring instructions, and advance notice of requirements and implementation methods so that students can actively participate.

At the same time, focus on evaluating integrated educational content on environmental protection, biodiversity, integrity, traffic safety, human rights, Ho Chi Minh's moral ideology, etc. to form and develop civic capacity, contributing to comprehensive education for students.
