Binh Duong: Approved the planning project for the construction of a 786ha mechanical industrial park

(CLO) Recently, the People's Committee of Binh Duong province unanimously approved the master plan for the construction of Bac Tan Uyen 1 Industrial Park on an area of 786 hectares, and signed a memorandum of understanding with an investment capital of more than 1 billion USD.

Accordingly, the People's Committee of Binh Duong province held a meeting to review the proposal for the review of the construction planning project (scale 1/5,000) of Bac Tan Uyen 1 Industrial Park of the Binh Duong Industrial Parks Management Board. From there, it was agreed to approve the general planning project for the construction of this industrial park, and at the same time assigned the People's Committee of Bac Tan Uyen district to coordinate with the Department of Construction to implement the next procedures in accordance with regulations.

It is known that Bac Tan Uyen 1 Industrial Park is planned to be located in Binh My commune, Tan Lap commune, Bac Tan Uyen district and Hoi Nghia ward, Tan Uyen city. The planned area is 786 hectares, with a workforce of about 32,000 people. This is an industrial park focusing on mechanical engineering industries.

Previously, in November 2022, the People's Committee of Binh Duong province also signed a memorandum of understanding with a domestic investor to build a specialized mechanical industrial park in the province with a total investment of about 26,000 billion VND (equivalent to more than 1 billion USD).

Through assessment, the establishment of a specialized mechanical industrial park will contribute to solving the shortage of raw materials, saving time and transportation costs. At the same time, it will create opportunities for businesses, especially small and medium enterprises, to promote cooperation and mutual support, develop the business community together, and participate in the global value chain.

Also related to the development of industrial parks, the People's Committee of Binh Duong province has unanimously approved the investment proposal for the An Binh 7 Industrial Cluster project according to the proposal and advice of the Binh Duong Department of Finance. This industrial cluster is planned in Tam Lap commune (Phu Giao district) with a planned development area of 50 hectares.

Upon completion, this industrial cluster will attract investment in the fields of electronics, microelectronics, telecommunications, refrigeration, pharmaceuticals, medical instruments, stationery, garments, leather shoes, handbags; attract industries in the processing industry such as agricultural processing, soft drinks, functional foods, etc.

This project is also part of the development plan of 4 industrial parks in Phu Giao district with a total area of 2,800 hectares, including the planning of 18 industrial clusters covering an area of 1,183 hectares.
