The representative of the organizing unit said that during the day, the company auctioned 80,000 license plates divided into 8 shifts (4 shifts in the morning, 4 shifts in the afternoon), each shift lasting 25 minutes. Of these, there were about 50,000 motorcycle license plates and 30,000 car license plates.
In the afternoon alone, license plate 99A-999.99 set a new record for auction value. In addition, many other car license plates also reached high prices, such as license plate 15K-699.99 won more than 1 billion VND and license plate 30B-299.99 won 915 million VND.
License plate 99A-999.99 is considered extremely special by car enthusiasts and license plate collectors. The number “99” is the largest number in the two-digit natural number series, symbolizing perfection, sustainability and longevity.
