In order for emulation movements to truly spread, the Department of Education and Training (DoET) has directed to closely link emulation content with studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style. At the same time, it requires schools to concretize them into goals and targets suitable for each condition and each professional task. From that orientation, professional group activities are innovated in a practical direction, each class hour is associated with the spirit of innovation and creativity. Teachers proactively apply active teaching methods, increase the application of technology in testing and evaluation, and consider students' progress as a measure of emulation. Rewards are carried out publicly, to the right people, for the right job, and promptly commend examples of dedication and creativity. This approach helps studying and following Uncle Ho become a specific and sustainable motivation, permeating every class, every lecture, and every management activity of the industry.
In practice, emulation movements associated with studying and following Uncle Ho have created an environment for many teachers to promote their exemplary role, in accordance with his teachings: "Each teacher is a model of morality, self-study and creativity." Among them, Meritorious Teacher Nguyen Thi Thu Hien, Head of the Literature Group at Chi Lang High School, is a typical example. Talking to us, Ms. Hien said: Responding to the emulation movement "Teach well - Learn well", I always prepare lessons in a way that arouses interest and trains independent thinking for students. With good students, I persistently apply the method of letting them explore, debate, write and edit many times to form their own character. This method requires a lot of effort but helps students become more proactive and confident.
Thanks to persistent innovation in the spirit of competition, in the period of 2020-2025, students directly trained by Ms. Hien won 2 national excellent student awards and dozens of provincial awards. These achievements are both the result of dedication and show that the competition movement has truly permeated every class hour and every writing of the students.
Not only teachers, in emulation movements, the role of managers always holds an important position when deciding the spread to each school. Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Tam, Principal of Nhat Tien Primary School, Van Nham Commune, is a typical example. Talking to us, she said: Participating in the emulation movement "Innovation in management, teaching and learning" helps me clearly identify the responsibility of the leader to build a united collective, all decisions must be directed towards the progress of students. I and the school community persistently review teaching and learning practices, innovate professional activities, and at the same time mobilize resources from parents and society to gradually add classrooms, functional rooms, libraries, playgrounds, and practice grounds. The atmosphere in the school has changed significantly, teachers are confident in their commitment, students are bold, and parents are more confident.
This result not only helped Nhat Tien Primary School achieve the title of excellent labor collective for many consecutive years, but also affirmed the effectiveness of the emulation movement in bringing management innovation into depth. Ms. Tam herself was awarded a certificate of merit by the Prime Minister and was proposed to be awarded the Third Class Labor Medal in the 2024-2025 school year.
Implementing the emulation movement also creates an environment for students to practice and mature. From the movements "Teach well - Learn well", "Innovation in management, teaching and learning", many students have formed proactive learning methods, know how to set goals, arrange time and practice courage in the face of challenges.
Vu Hoang Bao Duy, a student of class 12D1 at Chu Van An High School for the Gifted, is a typical example. Duy said: Thanks to the competitive environment of the school, he was motivated to study the knowledge in class, proactively do extra exercises, and maintain a stable mentality before the exam. In the 2025 high school graduation exam, he achieved the national runner-up position in group A01 with 29.5 points.
Duy's achievements are not only the pride of his family and school, but also reflect the practical effectiveness of the emulation movement in nurturing the will and aspiration to excel in each student.
The achievements of the emulation movement are not only reflected in the quality of teaching and learning but also recognized by awards. According to the industry's records, in the past 5 years, the entire industry has had 15 collectives and individuals awarded certificates of merit by the Prime Minister; the Ministry of Education and Training awarded 24 collectives and 38 individuals; the Provincial People's Committee awarded 278 collectives and 412 individuals, etc. These numbers have affirmed the spread of the emulation movement throughout the industry.
Mr. Hoang Quoc Tuan, Director of the Department of Education and Training, said: In the coming time, the whole sector will continue to innovate the content and methods of launching the movement, focusing on emulating the four good things: good teaching, good learning, good management, good service. We pay special attention to discovering, nurturing, and replicating advanced models, paying attention to new factors and creative models, closely linking with studying and following Uncle Ho so that the movement can truly go into depth.
The results from the emulation movements have created a solid foundation for teachers and students to enter a new phase with confidence and determination to innovate and continue to spread typical advanced examples, learning from and following Uncle Ho.
