On the occasion of the traditional Chol Chnam Thmay New Year of the Khmer people, on the afternoon of April 16, Comrade Tran Tien Dung - Secretary of Vinh Long Provincial Party Committee visited and extended New Year greetings to the Association of Patriotic Buddhist Monks and Monks of Vinh Long province and Hanh Phuc Tang Pagoda (Trung Thanh commune, Vung Liem district).

Provincial Party Secretary - Tran Tien Dung delivered a speech congratulating the Khmer people on the traditional Chol Chnam Thmay New Year.

In a warm and joyful atmosphere, on behalf of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province, Comrade Tran Tien Dung wished the monks, nuns, and all Buddhists and Khmer people a joyful, healthy and happy traditional New Year. Comrade Tran Tien Dung informed the outstanding results of the socio-economic situation, national defense and security to Buddhists and Khmer people.

Thereby affirming that the province always pays attention to the lives of ethnic minorities in general and Khmer people in particular.

The Provincial Party Secretary hopes that Khmer people will continue to strive to rise up, actively participate in local revolutionary movements, strictly comply with the Party's guidelines and policies and the State's laws. Continue to actively contribute to social activities, build a united and strong community, preserve and promote traditions and cultural identity, and contribute to the overall development of the country.

Venerable Son Ngoc Huynh said that the Provincial Association of Patriotic Buddhist Monks and Nuns is always the center for uniting monks and nuns in the province, uniting the nation, uniting religions, and living a "good life and a good religion". At the same time, it is always determined to do a good job of propaganda, education, and mobilizing monks and Buddhists to unite and practice a civilized lifestyle at religious establishments, actively participate in local economic development programs, carry out social security work well, and support the Fund for the Poor.
