Mr. Mano Polking is the most recent coach to lead the Thai team to win the AFF Cup (2020 and 2022). After the time of the German-Brazilian coach, the Golden Temple team once again lost the Southeast Asian championship to the Vietnamese team.

Coach Mano Polking is currently leading the CAHN Club, this team will participate in the 2025-2026 Southeast Asian Cup C1, in the same group with two representatives of Thai football, BG Pathum United and Buriram United. This tournament will start from August 8.

Before the Southeast Asian Cup C1 took place, Thailand's Siam Sport newspaper wrote: "Coach Mano Polking, who is leading CAHN Club, will visit BG Pathum United on August 20. After that, Mr. Polking's team will face the defending champion Buriram United in the last days of this year."

“This famous coach has just won his first title as a club manager. He helped CAHN win the Vietnam National Cup in the 2024-2025 season,” Siam Sport added.

In the last season's Southeast Asian Cup C1, Coach Mano Polking's CAHN Club played extremely well, reaching the final, only losing to Buriram United after a penalty shootout.

The early reunion of CAHN Club and Buriram United in the group stage of the 2025-2026 Southeast Asian Cup C1 opens up a confrontation that promises to be full of drama between the two leading football teams of Vietnam and Thailand.

Siam Sport commented: “CAHN Club participated in the Southeast Asian Cup C1 this time with the goal of taking revenge on their old opponent. They will have an important match with Buriram United on December 3, at Buriram United's Chang Arena.”

“Football fans across Southeast Asia are eagerly awaiting the confrontation between the two football giants of Thailand and Vietnam,” is still the line written in Thailand's leading sports daily.
