Specifically, with a turnover of nearly 8.68 billion USD, Bac Ninh unexpectedly surpassed the "locomotive" Ho Chi Minh City to become the locality with the highest export turnover in the country in July 2025.
After a long time holding the number 1 position, Ho Chi Minh City's export turnover unexpectedly fell to the second position last July, reaching 7.81 billion USD, about 870 million USD lower than Bac Ninh .
In addition to Bac Ninh and Ho Chi Minh City, in the top 5 provinces and cities with the highest export turnover in the country, in July 2025, there were also Hai Phong with 4.15 billion USD, Phu Tho with 3.22 billion USD and Dong Nai with 3.18 billion USD.

In particular, Ho Chi Minh City, although its export turnover only ranked 2nd in July, still ranked 1st in the first 7 months of 2025 with 53.08 billion USD.

Regarding the promotion of goods exports, the Ministry of Industry and Trade recently requested relevant departments and offices to continue negotiating reciprocal trade with the US to achieve the most favorable commitments for Vietnam, towards a comprehensive trade agreement, further strengthening the Vietnam-US economic and trade relations in a balanced and sustainable direction.
At the same time, proactively research, advise on negotiations, and sign cooperation agreements with new markets. Focus on exploiting and making the most of opportunities from key, strategic markets.
In addition, it is necessary to strengthen inspection and control of the issuance of certificates, and strictly handle acts of origin fraud. Effectively exploit signed FTA agreements; immediately implement negotiations, soon sign new FTAs, especially with countries in the Middle East, India, Africa, Latin America, upgrade the ASEAN Trade in Goods Agreement... to ensure the target of export growth.
