According to Game Beat , Apple announced a number of new features for the company's products as part of its WWDC 2023 event. While the event largely focused on products and services outside of the video game realm, there were some notable updates for gamers.
Specifically, the company added optimization for games on MacOS Sonoma, a conversion toolkit for games coming to Mac, and the promise of future games on Vision Pro glasses.
Most notable among the updates is the addition of Game Mode to Macs, which is supposed to make gaming smoother by giving the highest priority to the CPU and GPU for games, resulting in higher frame rates.

Game Mode also reduces audio latency for AirPods and input latency for Bluetooth controllers like the DualSense. Apple says the mode will work with all games.
Developer Hideo Kojima also announced that Death Stranding Director's Cut will be coming to Mac later this year. The developer plans to release more of its games on Apple's platform in the future.
As a side note, Apple also revealed that it is working on a game porting tool for developers, which will allow developers to see how their games perform on Macs in just a few days, as well as reduce the time it takes to port a game's graphics settings to Apple's operating system.
