Agribank in the Southwest region promotes loans for the project of 1 million hectares of high-quality rice

The conference was attended by Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Tay Ninh province Truong Tan Dat; Deputy Head of the Department of Agriculture Tran Thi Mong Thi; Head of Agribank's Personal Customer Department Le Hai Ha, member of the Project Steering Committee; Deputy Head of Agribank's Corporate Customer Department Duong Xuan Nam; Deputy Head of Agribank's Representative Office in the Southwest region Phan Van Ba, along with the Board of Directors and representatives of Agribank's professional departments at the branches: Long An, Dong Long An, Bac Long An, Tien Giang , Dong Thap.

The conference focused on reporting and evaluating the progress of the project's implementation; solutions on credit mechanisms, interest rates, and lending criteria; and discussed measures to remove difficulties and obstacles to speed up the project's implementation. Coordination between departments, branches, and local authorities was also emphasized through dialogue and direct discussion with leaders of the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Tay Ninh province to bring policies closer to farmers and businesses, ensuring that preferential credit capital is provided promptly and to the right subjects.

The project has brought practical results to people and businesses by reducing costs (reducing the amount of seeds, fertilizers, irrigation water, etc.), increasing productivity and profits, while reducing emissions, soil pollution, and protecting people's health.

As a key commercial bank in the field of "agriculture", the Agribank Representative Office in the Southwest region and branches in the region are determined to synchronously and effectively deploy the provision of preferential credit capital to implement the Project according to the policies and orientations of the Government, the State Bank and Agribank, supporting farmers and businesses in investing in high-quality rice production, applying science and technology, reducing emissions and protecting the environment, contributing to increasing the value of Vietnamese rice and sustainable economic development of the Mekong Delta./.
