The Samsung Innovation Campus Technology Talent Development Project for the 2024-2025 school year was officially launched at NIC in April 2025 to develop high-tech capabilities for the young generation of Vietnam - who will lead the success of the 4.0 industrial revolution in Vietnam in the future.
In the SIC 2024-2025 program deployed at NIC Hoa Lac, Samsung Vietnam has cooperated with NIC to deploy 5 training courses on Artificial Intelligence (AI), 3 training courses on Internet of Things (IoT) and 4 training courses on Big Data, providing opportunities for high-tech training for 330 students from many universities such as University of Technology - Vietnam National University, Hanoi, University of Science - Vietnam National University, Hanoi,FPT University, University of Commerce, Academy of Policy and Development, etc.
The courses in the program are designed on an educational foundation that combines future core technology skills with soft skills and practical work skills. These training contents are selected through a stratified survey according to development trends in industries in different regions, combined with recruitment needs at large companies. Along with professional knowledge, the Program also provides students with content related to career skills.
Students participating in the SIC program at NIC Hoa Lac were also supported with free Korean language training. In addition, students had the opportunity to meet engineers working at Samsung's Research and Development Center to gain more career orientation related to the IT field in the future.
Evaluating the program, Mr. Vu Thanh Vinh - lecturer of the Faculty of Information Technology, Thuy Loi University, who is currently teaching the IoT course, said: “The SIC program shows that Samsung has paid great attention to activities to develop high-quality human resources in Vietnam. Students participating in the course have been equipped with a lot of practical knowledge and many soft skills, thereby helping them become more confident. After completing this course, students gave very positive feedback during their internships and work at companies. Many students shared that this course helped them gain extra points when applying for jobs. Personally, I think the SIC program is suitable for the context of the current 4.0 revolution. I really hope that in the future, this program will continue to be maintained and developed further.”
First implemented in the 2023-2024 school year, this year is the second year that Samsung has collaborated with the National Innovation Center to implement SIC classes at NIC Hoa Lac. The results achieved from this program have initially demonstrated the effectiveness of cooperation in training technology talents between Samsung and NIC, responding to the Government 's call to mobilize resources to support Vietnam in realizing the goal of training 50,000 semiconductor engineers by 2030.
Mr. Kim Yong Sup, Deputy General Director of Samsung Vietnam shared: “SIC not only provides advanced technological knowledge but also creates a creative playground, helping the young generation of Vietnam to be ready to lead the 4.0 industrial revolution. We are committed to continuing to accompany Vietnam in training high-quality human resources."
