18 projects participating in the Rural Youth Startup Project Competition 2025

In his opening speech, Comrade Nguyen Tuong Lam, Secretary of the Central Executive Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, President of the Vietnam Youth Union affirmed that the contest is a meeting place for creativity, aspiration and action; thereby encouraging rural youth to promote the spirit of entrepreneurship and career establishment, contributing to building a modern and sustainable agricultural economy . At the same time, the contest also creates opportunities for rural youth to access capital, improve their entrepreneurial skills and contribute to developing the rural economy in a modern, green and sustainable direction.

After more than 4 months of launching, the Organizing Committee of the Contest received 228 projects from 34 provincial and municipal youth unions. Passing the preliminary round, 120 projects were selected for the Semi-finals.

The Northern Regional Semi-Finals held in Quang Ninh included 18 projects from the provinces: Quang Ninh, Lang Son, Cao Bang, Son La, Bac Ninh , Thai Nguyen, Lao Cai, Lai Chau and Dien Bien.

This year’s semi-finalists are diverse in their fields, from smart agriculture, clean production to circular economy models. Many ideas are not only groundbreaking but also have high potential for practical application, meeting the development needs of the agricultural sector. The most potential projects will be selected to participate in the final round of the competition, scheduled to be held in September 2025 in Hanoi.

The contest is part of a series of activities of the "Youth Startup" journey in 2025 organized by the Central Youth Union in many provinces and cities across the country.

Also within the framework of the journey, on August 13, there was a Conference on training on startup skills and digital transformation for Youth Union and Association officials, a seminar on "Application of artificial intelligence in the startup ecosystem" and a Vietnam Private Economic Forum in the local dialogue region - Northern Midlands Cluster.
