Bangkok (Thailand), Seoul (South Korea) and Tokyo (Japan) top the list of long-term holiday destinations. Notably, Shanghai (China) makes its debut in the top 10, demonstrating the growing interest in culturally rich and easily accessible destinations in the region.
According to Booking.com’s Travel Trends 2025, 42% of Vietnamese travelers said they planned to travel solo abroad this year. This trend is reflected in the growth (compared to the same period last year) in searches by travelers who like to travel alone during the April 30 and May 1 holidays. Bangkok topped the list of most sought-after destinations, followed by Tokyo and Seoul.
For couples, nearby destinations that are suitable for experiencing together are of interest. Bangkok, Seoul, Tokyo, Singapore and Kuala Lumpur top the list of priorities for couples. These cities are all famous for their romantic atmosphere, vibrant shopping malls and unique cuisine – perfect for couples to make memories together on a holiday trip.
Meanwhile, families prioritize convenience and entertainment activities that balance fun for both children and adults. Bangkok, Tokyo and Singapore are top choices for families during this long holiday.
