Stirring clip of teacher going to student's house to beat student in Thanh Hoa

On August 13, a clip went viral on social media recording a man, believed to be a teacher at a high school in Thanh Hoa province, riding a motorbike to a student's house and slapping the student multiple times in the face and head.

According to initial information, the incident is said to have occurred on August 8 in Vinh Loc commune, Thanh Hoa province. The man in the clip was identified as a teacher at Vinh Loc High School, and the person beaten was a student at the school.

Initial information said that the incident originated from the student saying bad things about the teacher, causing the teacher to be upset and go to his house to beat him. Also according to the clip, after the incident, the male student's family took him to the teacher's house, where the teacher continued to beat him, causing him to be injured.

Mr. Nguyen Van Tinh, Principal of Vinh Loc High School, confirmed that the person in the clip is teacher VXT, the school's English teacher, and the beaten child is a 7th grade student, related to teacher T.

“Through information, teacher T. is related to the family of the student in the clip (teacher T. calls the student's parents uncle and aunt). The male student's family has been tutoring teacher T. since grade 3. The reason for the above incident is that while the student was playing with his friends, he said that teacher T. could not understand what he was teaching. After hearing the information, teacher T. went to the student's house, and in front of the student's mother, he slapped his brother 3 times in the face to teach him a lesson from a family perspective,” said Mr. Tinh.

Regarding the incident, a leader of Vinh Loc commune said that the commune police have stepped in to verify and clarify the matter. "On the commune side, this morning we will form an inspection team to verify the incident and will have a specific report," the leader informed.
