In the opening match, the girls in red were considered to be stronger than their opponents.

In the most recent meeting, also in the second qualifying round of the Olympics, the Vietnamese women's team had an easy 2-1 victory over the Central Asian representative.

However, coach Mai Duc Chung is still very cautious before this rematch.
