On August 19, the Economic Times reported that the culinary YouTuber and actor couple - Nina Santiago and Patrick Blackwood - had an accident while filming a food review video at Cuvee's Culinary Creations restaurant in Houston, Texas (USA).

During filming, an SUV suddenly lost control, crashed through the glass window and into the area where they were sitting. Patrick managed to shield the actress, but both were still hit by flying glass, resulting in many cuts and bruises.

Local police initially determined that the cause could be a technical problem with the vehicle, calling it a “rare accident.”

On Instagram, Nina shared a series of photos of the injuries on her face and hands, emotionally writing: "The car came at me suddenly, right when I was biting into a piece of salmon sandwich but we were lucky to get through." Patrick also suffered bruises on his chest and face but reassured: "It's a miracle to be alive."

The couple were taken to hospital with multiple injuries to their faces and hands.
