With the theme “Humanitarian Journey - Giving and Receiving Love”, this year’s Humanitarian Month aims at a journey of compassion where everyone can participate, contribute, connect, and dedicate themselves to sharing, giving hearts and love, being ready to help those in difficult circumstances, multiplying acts of kindness, contributing to building a united and compassionate community.

During the Humanitarian Month, the entire Association system assisted nearly 1.7 million people in difficult circumstances, with a total value of nearly 764 billion VND. The Association built and repaired 32 kitchens for boarding and semi-boarding schools, 1,578 Red Cross houses; and supported the livelihoods of 3,949 households.

Many provinces and cities have mobilized the construction of humanitarian works of great value to serve the community such as: Building bridges and roads; building new and repairing facilities for schools and community centers; providing regular and long-term support to 52,805 individuals and groups.

The new feature of this year's Humanitarian Month is that the Central Committee of the Vietnam Red Cross Society coordinated with the People's Committees of Thai Nguyen, Son La, Dien Bien provinces and accompanying units to organize the program "Humanitarian Journey - Giving and Receiving Love" and the National Humanitarian Month Launching Ceremony held in Dien Bien province, on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of Dien Bien Phu Victory (May 7, 1954 - May 7, 2024), the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of the Capital (October 10, 1954 - October 10, 2024).

In particular, the highlight of this year's Humanitarian Month is the "Million Steps of Kindness" Campaign organized by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Red Cross Society, the Vietnam Youth Union in collaboration with vRace and FPT Online.

At the end of the Campaign, nearly 96,000 people participated (reaching 137% of the target), conquering nearly 2.5 million km, mobilizing resources equivalent to 7 billion VND. The program attracted the participation of many organizations, social funds, clubs, professional and semi-professional running teams and the participation of the Vietnamese community abroad.
