Hai Loc currently has an area of ​​over 41.25 km², a coastline of nearly 18 km with about 1,500 coastal households directly affected when the storm makes landfall. On the morning of August 25, at the anchorage area of ​​Hai Thinh hamlet, the commune government mobilized excavators and cranes to gradually bring large-tonnage boats ashore. According to Mr. Nguyen Dinh Thi - Chairman of Hai Loc Commune People's Committee, to effectively implement the "4 on-site" motto, 17 hamlets of the commune mobilized 10-12 people from security and order teams, militia and self-defense forces, and village cadres. At the commune level, nearly 180 people from the police, military , militia and self-defense forces... were deployed on combat duty, ready to support fishermen to pull boats, evacuate residents from dangerous areas and handle incidents immediately. Authorities support people living along important coastal areas in Dong Son and Bac Son hamlets (former Nghi Yen commune), Tien Phong and Bac Thang hamlets (former Nghi Tien commune), Hai Thinh and Rong hamlets (former Nghi Thiet commune)... by securing their houses. Along with ensuring the safety of boats, Hai Loc also strengthens the reinforcement of schools, offices, and public works; and advises people to absolutely not stay on boats or farming huts when the storm hits.
