Vung Tau budget revenue reached 57%

In the first 6 months of 2025, Vung Tau City's economic sectors continued to grow strongly compared to the same period in 2024. Notably, revenue from accommodation and catering services is estimated at VND 6,388 billion, up 26.52%. The total number of guests staying is about 1.8 million, up 35.11%. Estimated industrial production value and total retail sales of goods both increased by 15-17%. The city's budget revenue is estimated at VND 3,021 billion, reaching 57% of the plan assigned by the province.

The city has resolved 7,966 administrative procedures for people, reaching 95.96%. The city Party Committee has admitted 130 new party members, reaching 27.72% of the plan assigned by the province.

Speaking at the conference, Mr. Nguyen Truong Giang, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Vung Tau City Party Committee, requested the Party Committee to continue to be united, determined, and highly unanimous, taking "fast movement - strong efficiency - true support from the people" as the goal of action. Focus on improving the index and quality of socio-economic growth, harmoniously solving the problem between economic development and environmental protection, ensuring security and order, and improving people's lives...

*On the same morning, the People's Council of Vung Tau City held its 22nd session, passing many important resolutions, notably adjusting the 2021-2025 Medium-Term Public Investment Plan by an additional VND 140 billion, bringing the total to more than VND 4,582 billion.

This capital will serve urban infrastructure improvement projects and upgrade new ward/commune headquarters after the merger. In addition, the People's Council also approved hundreds of billions of VND for public investment projects in 2025 and established 5 public land areas for management.

According to Vice Chairman of Vung Tau City People's Council Nguyen Viet Dung, these adjustments aim to promote comprehensive development for the city, especially in the context of merging with Ho Chi Minh City (new).
