Rapper BigDaddy and singer Emily were moved by the will to live of two orphaned girls in the Vietnamese Family Shelter.

Hoang Ngoc Bao Khanh (2012), one of the characters in episode 147, is currently in 8th grade at Ngo The Lan Secondary School. Khanh has been missing his father's loving arms since childhood. When he was 2 years old, his mother also passed away forever due to the terrible cancer. Since then, he grew up with his grandmother, under the protection and care of his uncle's family in Quang Dien commune, Hue city.

Bao Khanh helps with housework after school. She always tries to help her family to the best of her ability.

Mrs. Hoang Thi Tuyet Mai (1956) – Bao Khanh’s grandmother, has an intellectual disability, is unable to fully perceive and always needs someone to take care of her. Every month, she receives 750,000 VND in disability benefits, while Khanh also receives 500,000 VND in support for orphans.

After the sudden passing of his mother, Bao Khanh and his grandmother lived with the family of his uncle, Hoang Cong Tuan (born 1961) - his grandmother's younger brother, and his wife, Ho Thi Thin (born 1964). Tuan's family was a farmer, living on five acres of rice fields. Although life was not very good, his grandparents still opened their arms and took care of Khanh and his grandchild with all their love.

Khanh's eyes filled with tears as she talked about her fear of losing loved ones.

Despite living in a life of material and emotional deprivation, Hoang Ngoc Bao Khanh still studies hard. He worries about whether he will be able to go to school one day, but more than anyone, Khanh understands that knowledge is the only way to open up the future. He dreams of being able to support himself, take care of his grandmother, and repay his uncle's family for taking care of him.

Never having fully called out to her mother, never once feeling her father's embrace, Khanh grew up with a loneliness that was hard to express. She felt sorry for herself for not having a complete family like her friends and her biggest fear was that her grandmother, her only support, would leave her forever.

At the studio, singer Emily hugged Khanh tightly, hoping to give her more positive energy. The female singer was moved by the girl's maturity and understanding and hoped that Khanh would always keep her faith. Rapper BigDaddy admired Khanh's will and determination. He realized that despite lacking love and conditions, she still studied well and worked hard, which was a bright spot. The male rapper believes that her inner strength and never giving up will help Khanh achieve success.

The second character, Tran Thi Thuy Tien (2012), a 7th grader at Le Xuan Secondary School, lost her father while still in her mother's womb. When she was only three months old, her mother remarried, only occasionally calling to check on her or sending a few hundred thousand dong. "When I was 10 years old, I realized that I did not have a complete set of parents like other children. I was very sad and felt sorry for myself. Now I understand and accept my fate, so I feel less sad ," Thuy Tien shared.

Mrs. Lanh's eyes were filled with deep concern about the uncertain future of her poor children.

Currently, Tien lives with her grandmother and two cousins in Dan Dien commune, Hue city. Tien's two cousins also lost their fathers early. After losing both her sons, Mrs. Truong Thi Lanh (1969), Tien's grandmother, has to bear the pain of "the old man seeing off the young man" while taking on the role of both father and mother to raise her grandchildren.

Ms. Lanh's family used to raise cows for a living, but after the epidemic, all the cows died, leaving behind a debt of 20 million VND that she could not repay. She still pays more than 120,000 VND in monthly interest. The four of them live on social assistance of 1 million VND/month, 1.5 million VND every 6 months from the Women's Union, and the help of neighbors. Previously, they lived in a makeshift, dilapidated shack. The local authorities supported the construction of a new house, which is simple but enough to protect them from the sun and rain.

“Why is this family life so miserable?” – MC Huynh Lap could not help but choke up when witnessing the difficult situation of Mrs. Lanh and her three grandchildren.

Despite lacking both material and emotional resources, Thuy Tien is still obedient and a good student. For her, her grandmother is everything, her only love and support. Tien is always afraid that one day her grandmother is no longer around and she will be alone. She dreams of becoming a doctor to help poor patients and share love with everyone.

When watching the family introduction clip, Mrs. Lanh burst into tears because she felt sorry for her grandchildren. MC Huynh Lap also could not hold back his tears. “Why is this family’s life so miserable? She is old, there is no man in the house, she has to take care of three children by herself, it is so hard. Seeing her fixing electricity alone makes me very worried,” the male MC said, choking up.

Besides, behind the scenes, Huynh Lap shared that he clearly felt the responsibility of leading a charity program full of love like Vietnamese Family Home . “The microphone is very light but the responsibility is heavy. The most difficult thing is to lead so that the audience's emotions are not interrupted. I told myself that if there is a technical mistake, sincere feelings will make up for it,” he said. The male MC expressed his desire to accompany the program for a long time to bring more faith and motivation to disadvantaged families.
