VN-Index highest ever

Continuing the momentum from the session on August 4, the stock market continued to have positive developments on the morning of August 5. Right from the opening hour, VN-Index created a gap of up to 17 points compared to the reference.

At 10:40, the VN-Index surpassed 1,565 points - the peak set a week ago. However, 30 minutes later, the VN-Index rebounded strongly to 1,570 points - the highest level ever. At the end of the morning session, the index slightly decreased to 1,565 points.

Liquidity on HOSE reached 32,272 billion VND with 221 stocks increasing and 105 stocks decreasing.

In this morning's trading session, banking stocks are attracting strong cash flow. TPB and MBB codes both hit the ceiling, while TCB increased by 5.3%,SHB increased by 4%... On HoSE, there were 207 codes increasing, double the 94 codes decreasing.

Not only focusing on the finance-banking group, green also spread across the real estate, industrial and raw materials groups. Vingroup stocks continued to lead the market this morning. VIC increased to the full range to 118,900 VND, contributing nearly 7 points to the VN-Index. VHM ranked second in the list of stocks with the most positive impact on the index when it increased 5.3% to 97,100 VND. VRE and VPL are both trading higher than the reference price, but the price increase range is more modest.

On the HNX floor today, there were 86 stocks increasing and 49 stocks decreasing, the HNX-Index increased by 2.95 points, up 1.1% to 271.29 points. The total transaction value reached 2,220 billion VND.

According to some securities companies, the VN-Index is continuing to increase but the number of stocks tending to increase is not as high as the previous peak. Therefore, this may not be the right time to disburse new capital for short-term goals.

" Although the market is showing positive signals, investors still need to act cautiously, combining holding good positions and selectively seeking new opportunities, " Vietcombank Securities Company's analysis team recommended.
